MadebyMizo Kiosk Opens in New Delhi: 750 Sq. Ft. Outlet Set Up at ₹71.41 Lakh

A new retail space dedicated to showcasing products from Mizoram has opened in the national capital. The MadebyMizo Kiosk, located at 102 Humayunpur, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, covers an area of 750 square feet and was established at a cost of ₹71.41 lakh.

The kiosk was inaugurated on 7 August 2026 by Mizoram Chief Minister Shri Lalduhoma. It has been set up under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, through the Mizoram Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (ZOHANDCO).

Purpose of the Kiosk

The MadebyMizo Kiosk serves as a physical retail outlet for a wide range of products made by artisans and entrepreneurs from Mizoram. These products are also listed on the MadebyMizo.com e-commerce platform, which was earlier launched by ZOHANDCO under the same RAMP initiative.

Beyond being a showroom, the kiosk will function as a fulfilment centre for online orders. Instead of shipping products all the way from Aizawl, orders can now be dispatched directly from the New Delhi outlet. This is expected to reduce delivery time and improve the customer experience for buyers across the country.

Expansion Plans

ZOHANDCO has indicated that similar MadebyMizo Kiosks are being planned in Bengaluru and Kolkata. These outlets will further expand the market reach of Mizo handlooms, handicrafts, and other locally made products in major Indian cities.

Background

ZOHANDCO is the State Nodal Agency for the RAMP Scheme in Mizoram and handles the Marketing Intervention component. The establishment of the New Delhi kiosk forms part of the state’s efforts to provide better market access to its MSMEs and artisans under the national RAMP programme.

Following the inauguration, a Chief Minister’s Grand Dinner was held at Kidang Restaurant in Safdarjung Enclave. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Lalduhoma highlighted the reforms being undertaken in Mizoram’s Public Sector Undertakings and cited the progress of ZOHANDCO as an example of positive change.

The 750 sq. ft. MadebyMizo Kiosk, built at a cost of ₹71.41 lakh, marks a concrete step in bringing authentic products from Mizoram closer to customers in the national capital and beyond.
