Bengaluru, August 5, 2026 — KPMG in India has named Hyderabad-based spacetech startup Cosmoserve Space the winner of the India Finale of the 6th edition of the Global Tech Innovator Competition (GTIC) 2026.
The announcement followed the India Finale held in Bengaluru, where finalists pitched before an esteemed jury of industry experts, corporate leaders, and KPMG specialists. Cosmoserve Space was selected from a highly competitive group of technology-led and technology-enabled startups for its strong showing on innovation, scalability, commercial viability, and market impact.
Now in its sixth year, GTIC has become a prominent platform in India for identifying high-potential technology innovators. It connects startups with investors, corporate leaders, and ecosystem partners, offering visibility, industry validation, and networks to accelerate growth. This year’s edition drew strong participation across Artificial Intelligence, Deep Tech, Climate and Sustainability, Spacetech and Defense, HealthTech, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Industry 4.0, Agritech, Mobility, SaaS, and other emerging technologies, underscoring the breadth of India’s innovation landscape.
As the India winner, Cosmoserve Space will represent the country at the Global Finale of GTIC 2026, scheduled for November 6–12, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal. There, national winners will compete for global recognition before an international audience of business leaders, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.

About the Winner
Cosmoserve Space, founded in 2025 by former ISRO scientist Dr. Chiranjeevi Phanindra B (PhD), develops Active Debris Removal (ADR) technologies and commercial services to capture and safely de-orbit orbital debris and non-operational satellites. The company is building proprietary dual-spacecraft systems (including the Reviver and Mothercraft platforms) that use soft-robotic capture technology inspired by the Venus flytrap. Its solutions aim to address the growing challenge of space debris at significantly lower cost than existing approaches, supporting long-term orbital sustainability for satellite operators and government agencies.
The startup, incubated at T-Hub in Hyderabad, has raised funding (including a notable pre-seed round) and has progressed rapidly, including plans and demonstrations related to in-orbit soft robotic capture.
The win highlights both the rising strength of India’s private space sector and KPMG’s ongoing role in supporting high-growth technology startups through platforms like GTIC.
