If you have forgotten your password for the CITRA (Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority) Eservices Portal, follow this step-by-step guide to regain access to your account.
Step-by-Step Password Reset Process
Step 1: Access the Password Reset Page
- Go to the CITRA Eservices Portal login page at:
https://eservices.citra.gov.kw/Pages/Home.aspx - On the login page, look for and click the link labeled “Forgot Password”.
- You will be directed to the password recovery page.
Step 2: Enter Your Account Information
On the “Forgot Password” page, you will see a form with two required fields:
- Email: Enter the email address associated with your CITRA Eservices Portal account in the field marked with an asterisk (*).
- CAPTCHA Code: Enter the security code (CAPTCHA) shown in the picture on the screen. This verifies you are not a bot.
- If the code is unclear, click the “Reload Code” button to generate a new one.
Step 3: Submit the Request
- Double-check that the email address you entered is correct.
- Ensure the CAPTCHA code is entered exactly as displayed.
- Click the “Send Reset Link” button.
Step 4: Check Your Email
- Open the inbox of the email address you provided.
- Look for a password reset email from CITRA. This may take a few minutes.
- Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the email in your main inbox.
Step 5: Create a New Password
- Open the password reset email from CITRA.
- Click the unique password reset link provided in the email. This link will expire after a certain period.
- You will be taken to a page where you can enter a new password for your account.
- Create a strong, new password and confirm it.
- Save or note down your new password in a secure place.
Step 6: Log In with New Credentials
- Return to the main Eservices Portal login page.
- Enter your username/email and your new password.
- You should now have full access to your account.
What to Do If You Encounter Problems
- “Send Reset Link” button doesn’t work: Ensure all fields (Email and CAPTCHA) are filled correctly. The CAPTCHA code is case-sensitive.
- No reset email received: First, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, wait 15-30 minutes and try the process again from Step 1. Ensure you are using the correct email address for your account.
- Reset link expired: Password reset links are typically valid for a limited time (e.g., 1-24 hours). If yours expired, you must restart the process from the beginning.
- Forgot which email you used: If you cannot remember the email associated with your account, you will need to contact CITRA Support directly for further assistance.
